Cheap Harvard / Cambridge Hotels
Cambridge, Massachusetts is located on the Charles River, right across from Boston, and is one of the many highlights of the greater Boston area. Named for England's University of Cambridge, this traditional American college town is home the infamous Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
As an intellectual Mecca, Cambridge boasts several museums, including the Busch-Reisinger Museum (part of Harvard). The museum is dedicated to art of Northern and Central European countries with a focus on German expressionist and modernistic art. Also located on Harvard grounds is the Harvard Museum of Natural History, which contains three exciting sections: the Harvard University Herbaria, the Museum of Comparative Zoology, and the Harvard Mineralogical Museum.
In addition to its academic offerings and attractions, Cambridge is also well known for its eclectic atmosphere, one rich in restaurants, shops, galleries, bookstores, and vibrant nightlife spots. Even so, its small-town appeal and easy pedestrian access is immense – so much so that it is considered one of Boston's most bicycle-friendly cities.
